An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a Dental Nurse Manager to work within the Community
Dental Service which covers South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead.
This exciting
role sits within the Community Division of South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS
Trust. The Dental Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the management and
development of the nursing team. The successful candidate will ensure there is a
safe culture within the department, ensuring staff are supported and patients
receive an excellent standard of care. They will provide visible, compassionate
leadership across all clinical areas working with the dental nurse team. The
successful candidate will be a good role model to all displaying the Trusts
values and behaviours in their every day work.
Main duties of the job
The successful
candidate will provide excellent leadership to our Dental Nurse team as well as
be able to demonstrate a caring approach to patients, be well organised,
flexible in their approach to work and have the ability to work well as part of
a team as well as on their own. They must be forward thinking and able to adapt
to a range of specialities.
The role will
provide leadership to the Dental Nurse team daily, inspiring them with strong
leadership, excellent clinical skills, and a visible and exemplary commitment
to patient-centeredness. They will work collaboratively with the Senior Dental
Nurses and the Matron to escalate department and staffing issues where
appropriate. The successful candidate will carry out clinical dental nursing
duties, ensuring credibility with the nursing team and role modelling excellent
clinical nursing skills and represent the department at meetings and will be
expected to take responsibly for delivering agreed actions within the dental nursing
team.
