Job summary
We have an
exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse Technical Support operative
to join our established community equipment service in Gateshead.
Gateshead
Equipment service is a central provider of a wide range of community loan
equipment and wheelchairs to support patients in maintaining their personal
independence, safety and mobility.
We are looking
for a customer focused enthusiastic operative who will support and maintain
planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and testing of a range of equipment
and ensure stringent infection control guidelines are adhered to in cleaning
equipment. You will have experience of multi drop operations and experience in
the assembly of furniture or other equipment. You will also support the wider
team including warehouse, technical and delivery staff when required, assisting
in areas such as repairs, technical installations and delivery/removal of
equipment. You will also support the Warehouse Operations Officer in stock
control, perpetual inventory and stock take activity.
Main duties of the job
The successful
candidate will have:-
Experience of
managing & prioritising workload and being able to multi-task.
Experience of
using electronic patient records / electronic ordering systems, hand held
scanning devices
Experience of
multi-drop deliveries / warehouse or logistics operations.
Excellent
communication skills.
Experience of
repair, maintenance & servicing of equipment including hoists, profiling
beds, mattresses and pumps.
Experience of
vehicle safety checks and driving legislation and safe, efficient driving
Experience of
risk assessments, lone working, COSSH and Health and Safety legislation
Experience of
PAT and LOLER testing
Must hold a
full driving licence
This post is 37.5hrs
based at Team Valley Gateshead (5 days per week)
