experienced Education Mental Health Practitioner looking for a new opportunity.
As part of our wave 11 roll out we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic
motivated individuals to our Sunderland Mental Health Support Service.
The MHST works
across designated schools in Sunderland supporting children and young people
between the ages of 5 to 18 years in providing low-intensity interventions,
group work and whole school approach activities. We also offer training and
advice and support.
If successful
you will be based locally at the Hetton Centre but will work on a regular basis
at designated schools and hubs across Sunderland

Main duties of the job
Being the Senior EMHP - overseeing a MHST cluster of schools.
Supporting and supervising Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) in the cluster - developing clinical skills, competencies and practice, and additionally supporting trainee EMHPs to gain relevant clinical experiences in line with their course requirements.
The role supports the development and implementation of Whole School Approach within school setting to embed a positive emotional health culture and ethos, and provides support to EMHPs to plan and deliver Whole School Approach activities within their school and support school engagement.
In this role you will also undertake regular clinical work, and provide education and training to education staff and colleagues.
The role of the Senior Education Mental Health Practitionerincludes working in partnership with existing services, such as Universal Services , Voluntary, Public and Health sectors.
