The post holder will be part of South Tyneside
Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression which is provided by the South
Tyneside Lifecycle Mental Health Service. South Tyneside Lifecycle Mental
Health Service is an award winning Talking Therapies Service and one of the
highest performing services at both regional and national level.
The post holder will have an exciting
opportunity to join our PWP team which offers screenings and treatment to
clients who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Treatment sessions
will be offered via 1:1 as well as group interventions. The post holder will
also have the opportunity to develop pathways in to the service through liaison
with key referrers and attending service promotional events.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have:
- A post graduate certificate in low intensity therapy or evidence of passing the post graduate low intensity training course.
- Experience of working to support the mental health needs of adults in primary care.
- Comprehensive mental health assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skills in the delivery of relevant therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to offer advice to a broad range of professionals and work co-operatively to deliver joint interventions with a range of providers.
There is recognition that staff can realise their potential through effective clinical and management supervision, managerial support, and through access to internal and external training.
Staff development and their wellbeing are accepted as priorities and we have a long established Wellbeing Strategy Group which develops wellbeing initiatives for the service.
