Job summary
We are looking to recruit part-time Admin Support/Receptionists (1 x 30 hours per week and 1 x 15 hours per week) on a permanent basis to support our Community Dental team based at various location across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead.
You will be one of a team of administrative support staff who provide essential administrative functions, whilst interfacing with clinical and administrative staff, patients and the general public. The Service is fast-paced and you would be expected to carry out a variety of administrative tasks.
You must be able to demonstrate you have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels by telephone and in person. Excellent organisational skills, flexibility and time-management are also essential.
You should have excellent keyboard skills and a working knowledge of software packages.
You may be required to cover other reception areas when required.
Main duties of the job
To meet and greet dental patients and carers attending the Dental service.
To manage and deal with all direct and indirect patient / carer enquiries, pertaining to dental appointments.
Responsible for making dental appointments on the R4 computer system and demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information.
Provide a wide range of administration and clerical functions to support the provision of an efficient and effective dental service.
To be responsible for the effective running of the Reception within the dental clinic.
To support the clinical team with administrative tasks.
