Job summary
We are looking to recruit a part-time (22.5
hours) Band 3 Administration Assistant to work with the Community Continence
team based at Clarendon, Hebburn.
The post holder will be one of a team of
administrative support staff who provide essential administrative functions,
whilst interfacing with clinical and administrative staff. The service is fast paced and you would be expected to
carry out a variety of administrative tasks.
Candidates must be able
to demonstrate they have the ability to communicate effectively with people at
all levels by telephone and in person. Excellent organisational skills,
flexibility and time management are also essential.
You should have
excellent keyboard skills and a working knowledge of software packages.
Main duties of the job
To
provide an administrative service to the planned care team, supporting the
provision of an efficient and effective service to patients, service users and
staff within the Department
Ensure accurate and timely updating and inputting of
patient details, appointments and information into clinical record (EMIS).
To provide a range of administration and clerical support including those resulting from telephone calls
Responsible
for processing supplies orders and keeping an accurate record of expenditure
Communicate
with all appropriate staff groups and agencies as part of the service
requirements in an effective and professional manner.
To
effectively deal with telephone enquiries relaying information to team.
Provide
clinical information to support ongoing service development.
To
be a key member of the multi professional team
