A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Speech & Language Therapy service at UHD. The team are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinkingspecialistSpeech & Language Therapist to work across both acute and neuro caseloads, with a hyper-acute focus.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in an acute hospital setting, including critical care.The applicant should have skills in managing patients with tracheostomy and ideally instrumental assessment,as we have a newly established FEES service. You will be a confident communicator who thrives in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment.
This role requires HCPC registration and a member of the Royal Collegeof Speech and Language Therapists

Main duties of the job
In this role youwillprovide evidence-based, holistic care to adiverse caseloadof patients with complex dysphagia and communication impairments across acute and neuro pathways.
Working with our other clinical leads, this role will alsoprovide leadership and support service development, as part of thegrowthof the SLT service andtransformation of hospital services.Specificallysupervising neuro and acute B6 rotational posts, developing neuro rehab pathways andprovidingtrainingopportunitiesacross the service.
