Support Secretary

Job summary

To provide a secretarial service to the consultants, senior stroke team and consultant secretaries, and to cover consultant secretaries during periods of absence, i.e. annual leave, sickness.

To provide administrative support to the medical secretaries including, answering telephone calls, taking comprehensive messages, filling, scanning and any other administrative duties required.

Main duties of the job

  • Patient/Client Care - telephone contact with patients and relatives, and other professional bodies, and deal with appropriately, as instructed by consultant secretaries and senior stroke team.
  • To maintain, co-ordinate and organize appointments/meetings with staff, patients or their relatives.
  • To work closely with the consultant secretaries, consultants and senior stroke team to provide full administrative support.
