Here at the University Hospitals Dorset , we are looking for a highly diligent conscientious professional to work as a Lead Aseptic Technician in the Aseptic Preparation Unit in Poole Hospital.
This is an exciting innovative role for a registered pharmacy technician a to be imbedded within our UHD technical services team to assist the Accountable Pharmacists in managing the pharmacy team to support the delivery of SACT for Cancer Services within UHD which is produced in the unlicensed aseptic preparation unit APU in Poole Hospital. We are looking for a highly skilled pharmacy professional with significant experience working in aseptic services and quality assurance or a manufacturing GMP environment.
The post holder will work alongside a team of pharmacy professionals to meet the quality and compliance demands of this diverse service. The role will provide technical support and advice, conduct audits and drive quality improvements and be able to work as a product approver to release products prepared in APU.
The post holder will be a member of the Senior Aseptic Management Team and will have direct responsibility for managing a team of over 20 technicians, SMT's and ATO's.
The post is part-time job share (22.5 hours per week). Expected weekend shifts of 1 in 5 Sunday, and approximately one Bank Holiday shift per year.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Lead Aseptic Technician will play a key role in the preparation, quality control, and safe dispensing of cytotoxic and Immunotherapy agents prepared in the Aseptic Unit in Poole.
This role requires extensive technical knowledge in Aseptic preparation of injectable cytotoxic and immunotherapy agents . Adherence to regulatory standards, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and efficacy of aseptic products. The technician will lead daily operations in the Aseptic Preparation Unit, support the development and implementation of QMS, and provide mentorship to junior staff.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the human resources of the technical team within aseptic services.

- Registered as a pharmacy Technician with the GPHC
- Accredited Product Approver & Accredited Pre and In Process Checker
