Consultant Radiologist with Interest in General Radiology
Applications are invited for a full - time (1.0 WTE) Consultant Radiologist with an interest in General Radiology reporting. The post holder will be based on the RBH site but may have to cover sessions at Poole Hospital in the future. The post holder will be part of the on-call arrangements for general radiology.
The post-holder will be expected to provide general inpatient CT and emergency MRI both in normal working hours and on call. Outpatient US, CT and MRI reporting commitments will be according to interest and expertise. Job planned commitments could also include an opportunity to perform US and CT guided procedures if desired. There will be a requirement for plain film reporting and supporting plain film reporting radiographers.

- FRCR or equivalent
- Full registration with GMC and license to practice.
- Entry on the GMS specialist register via CCST, CESR or European Community. Pre-CCST candidates will be considered if eligible for interview 6 months prior to CCST date (at date of interview)
Experience

- Broad experience of all aspects of acute Radiology.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of the NHS plan / modernisation agenda and the implications for service development
Desirable
- To have undertaken training in management skills
Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude

- Willingness and ability to fulfil the key elements of the job description
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary clinical audit principles and evidence of direct involvement in audits
- Experience and ability to train junior doctors
