Job summary
The Head and Neck Directorate are looking to appoint a new Service Manager for the Ear, Nose and Throat service and Oral Maxillofacial Service. You will join a supportive and experienced operational team at an exciting time of change. The role will be split over two sites with opportunities to integrate with a well established multi disciplinary team.
Base Location: Poole Hospital but cross site working will be required

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be positive , organised and have an inquisitive, curious nature. The role will involve being adaptable and approachable, building key working relationships and driving the flow of the services.
The candidate will work in a fast paced environment and use their initiative to explore and problem-solve for their services. The candidate will need to be an experienced values-based leader who can lead their team from the front and use their experience to engage and drive their people. The candidate needs to have experience of change management whilst we are going through a transformational period, where our services are moving sites.
This is an exciting time to join the team and make a difference to patients across Dorset and become a pivotal member of the Head & Neck Directorate.
You will have budgetary and operational responsibility for your services and be accountable to the Head and Neck leadership team.

You will lead a team of operational support managers and embody values-based leadership.
Part of your role will be to provide support to the Risk and Governance, to embed the quality governance agenda within the Directorate. The post holder will promote a proactive approach to involvement in all aspects of governance.
You are also a Senior Manager within the Head and Neck Directorate Management Team and as such will work to meet theobjectives of both the Directorate and Care Group while supportingthe Trusts overall vision, values and strategy.
