We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual to join our busy Corporate Governance team
The Deputy Company Secretary supports the Board of Directors, Council of Governors, Board committees and the Trust Management Group in the provision of effective integrated governance arrangements.
The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Company Secretary, the Deputy Company Secretary provides assistance to the Company Secretary on a wide range of corporate governance tasks and will play a role in the team which forms a link between Governors and the Trust. The post holder will deputise for the Company Secretary during periods of absence.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital, cross site working will be required on occasion

Main duties of the job
The post holder assists the Company Secretary in ensuring the organisation complies with its legal, constitutional and regulatory requirements, including the management of reviewing and updating the Trust's Constitution, Standing Orders and Scheme of Delegation.
The post holder supports the effective organisation of the Board, its committees and Council of Governors, including undertaking highest quality minute taking as required for legal and official purposes, the management of the governance cycles, papers, agendas, follow up actions and the statutory and mandatory Board and Council registers. The post holder maintains and develops the Trust's governance register in line with regulatory guidelines and the Trust's provider Licence.
