A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time housekeep within the Oncology Day Unit. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and ensure the possible care is given to our patients.
The role is for set days on a Thursday and Friday from 8-4. The main duties of the role are to ensure patients are comfortable, the distribution of food and drink, and monitoring stock levels on the unit.
The Oncology Day Unit is a 14-chaired day ward, which specialises in giving systemic anti-cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy. The unit is attached to the Oncology Assessment Unit, which is 6- bedded.

Main duties of the job
Main duties include attending to the patients in providing refreshments throughout the day and to welcome and guide patients or visitors coming on to the unit.
You will be asked to liaise with the nursing team, estates, pharmacy and the catering department to ensure smooth running of the department. This will include delivering medication on to the unit and monitoring stock levels.
You will also be asked to ensure the ward is clean and safe, including the kitchen and stock room. As part of safety procedures, you will be asked to monitor fridge temperatures, call bells and taps and document this.
