Job summary

The Strategy & Transportation directorate are looking for a dynamic, resilient person to promote the UHD Green Plan and sustainable travel across our busy NHS Trusts.

Main duties of the job

Promote sustainable travel and transport, act as ambassador for sustainable travel, including cycling, car share and non-car travel. This includes producing and maintaining high quality "Sustainable Transport Plan" that is a live document able to meet the requirements of the Trust and the planning authorities, and in support of any future planning applications.

Support the Trust's Green UHD Plan and Sustainability Strategy with regard to Fleet Management; NHS Fleet and leased vehicles and Clean Air Framework delivery.

To manage any inter-site travel arrangements, and travel planning support for staff, the public and others as UHD works toward transformation and reconfiguration of services.

Work across all UHD sites, linking with county wide colleagues (including BCP and MoreBus, for example) to develop a Dorset wide travel network and deliver improvements.

To ensure the car parking and road operations work well, ensuring asafe, legally compliant and cost-effective service.3. Work with HR and other colleagues to ensure workforce views areconsidered and that any travel policies and initiatives are both fair andreasonable, including car permits and travel incentives.5.
