Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for 12 month fixed term appointment for a Project Manager to support delivery of a brand new Endoscopy Hub at Poole Hospital. With funding secured, its an exciting time to join the project delivery phase and work with the clinical teams and the Estates Team to ensure the delivery of a state of the art hub to serve the East of the County.
The Endoscopy Project Manager will be part of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Team and be accountable to the CDC Programme Lead for the delivery of the projects and its objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of project delivery within a health care setting and have the ability to actively engage and support both managers and clinicians in order to deliver high quality services in a safe and cost effective way. A focus on the development of clinical services is required to support the current transformation agenda to ensure services are delivered in a more integrated way.

Main duties of the job
To perform a project management role within the UHD Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) team focused on delivering a transformational change project of a considerable scale across Dorset. The main focus of this role will be the endoscopy expansion at Poole Hospital, but there will also be involvement in development of the following CDC sites:
- Poole Hospital (other than endoscopy)
- Beales in Poole town
- AECC in Boscombe
- Weymouth Hospital
- South Walks House, Dorchester
The post holder will project manage assigned projects to deliver the desired outcomes in accordance with quality, budget and timescale specifications, thus performing a key role in keeping the project/programme on track to meet the objectives. This will involve:-
- facilitating the development of project plans;
- supporting delivery;
- monitoring progress;
- supporting the identification, recording, monitoring and management of project risks and issues;
- producing reports and papers for meetings; and
- ensuring governance processes are followed.
