Job summary

We are looking for a housekeeper/ward support assistant to join our team.

Kimmeridge Ward is a 34 bedded inpatient Older Peoples Services.

We are looking for an hard working, highly motivated individual who will work well as a member of the team. We are committed to providing a high standard of care to our patients and look forward to welcoming a new member to our team.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting the ward sister / charge nurse in the co-ordination and provision of services to ensure that the ward is a clean, safe and a comfortable environment and provide essential support to patients in fulfilling their dietary and nutritional needs.

The post holder will be responsible for general cleaning and tidying of designated areas, stock ordering and stock rotation. Working alongside the domestic team to ensure the ward areas are clean and tidy and that patient zones are kept clear of clutter.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the patients nutritional needs are met and that this is documented within the patients medical records according to the trust documentation policy.

Base Location: Poole Hospital currently, the successful post holder will be expected to move to Bournemouth Hospital with the team in late 2024

Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions
