Job summary
An opportunity has come up to work within our busy Research and Development team at UHD. The department is involved in the set-up, design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials and other clinical research studies. This role will focus on the financial elements of study set up and agreeing commercial budgets; proactively invoicing for commercial trials and patient travel expenses. We work in collaboration with research teams and hospital departments, other NHS Trusts, commercial and academic partners.
Based in the central R&D office and sharing our passion and enthusiasm for clinical research in the NHS, you will be required to work across the research portfolio under the supervision of the Research Finance Manager. We are looking for someone with research management experience and with finance experience.
This person will be required to work across the Trust independently and to manage their own workload. You will have an understanding of research and/or finances and enthusiasm to adopt new processes.

Main duties of the job
This post is an integral part of the central R&D team to ensure the success and growth of the Trust's research portfolio.
Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and organise workload are essential skills for this post. You may be required to work flexibly across Poole and Bournemouth to support the department. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team supporting high quality clinical research.
