Job summary
We have the perfect opportunity for you to join us as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) in Physiotherapy within our Musculo-skeletal team at University Hospitals Dorset. As a large NHS foundation trust, we have the benefit being next to the beautiful Dorset coastline as well as all the advantages of both urban and rural areas to choose from. Dorset also benefits from two local HEIs offering close affiliation for health care professionals in the local area.
The role will primarily work as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Spinal clinics at Poole and or Christchurch Hospital as part of the Dorset 'Triage and treat' service across University Hospitals Dorset. However, we believe in developing our employees in portfolio working so there may also be opportunities to work as an ACP across the MSK pathway within our MSK service in a mixture of settings and areas of practice tailored to you career development. This could includethe MSKphysiotherapydepartmentincludingsupporting the development and education for more junior members of staff. There is also much opportunity in First Contact practitioner (FCP) support in Primary Care in Dorset, based in a GP surgery as part of a Primary Care Network (PCN).
Base Location: Poole Hospital or/and Christchurch Hospital

Provide clinical expertisein Advanced Clinical Practice in spinal clinics, making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care.
Practitioners will use their clinical-reasoning skills to undertake an assessment of the presenting problem, interpret findings, develop working and differential diagnoses, and formulate, communicate and implement management plans that take account of individuals' needs, goals and wishes, local service availability and relevant local and national guidelines and policies.
