Job summary

Private Health is an exciting place to work as we develop services across the organisation. We aim to provide an excellent, safe and caring service across multiple specialities. Our 8 -bed unit based at Bournemouth, offers a friendly environment with the Admin assistant playing a central role.

The department operates between the hours of 07.30 and 19.00 and staff work flexibly to cover any evening clinics.

To succeed in this role you will need excellent communication skills and be passionate about delivering quality and value. Profits from private care and treatments are directed back into our own services across the hospitals.

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements together with the ability to multitask in a busy team environment.

Ideally this is a full-time role. Part time hours/job share may be considered for the right candidate(s).

Informal visits by appointment are encouraged

Base Location: Bournemouth

Main duties of the job

This is a supporting role to the Private Health team liaising with Consultants, private secretaries and other departments across the Trust. This job will be based initially on the private ward at Bournemouth Hospital. There will be a requirement to be flexible to work across all sites in the future once reconfiguration plans are realised.

This role involves data input, providing an efficient service and assisting patients on arrival for appointments or by telephone. This includes checking patient's details, taking payments and ensuring the clinics are ready for the clinicians and patients.
