Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset are looking for a IT Project Support Officer reporting to the IT Programme Manager of the Dorset Strategic Integrated Imaging System (SIIS) Programme for a fixed term contract period of 18 months.

The Informatics Directorate provides IT services to all of UHD. The Project Management Team plays an extremely important role by delivering and supporting a range of IT services and implementations to the Trust's ~7000 members of staff, in support of high quality patient care.

You will be based primarily at the IT Project Management Office at Yeomans Way (behind Castlepoint Shopping complex). This post will involve travel between various local NHS sites.

Strong candidates for these roles will have a good understanding of IT Project Management principles; enjoy helping others; will be familiar working in admin/support role; have current word processing knowledge, good time management skills and impeccable communications skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will possess high organisational skills and be comfortable and capable of working in a busy environment, both as part of a team and under their own initiative. Candidates must have an aptitude for Information Technology i.e. the role supports a Technical IT Programme.
