Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset are looking for an Estates Assistant CAD Technician!

The post holder will be responsible for carrying out updates of all Estates "as built" CAD files for all University Hospitals Dorset sites (including Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch) ensuring all layers are updated according to latest information. This will include as built drawings, health and safety plans and fire strategy and compartment plans.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist the estates team when required to produce technical drawings to industry standard.
  • Provide drawings for project options appraisals and business cases.
  • Create and revise other CAD documents such as fire plans, room number plans etc.
  • Update drawings to ensure compliance with building and health & safety regulations.
  • Asset management through regular updates of drawings working with capital and operational teams.
  • The post holder must have knowledge of BIM technologies and methodologies suitable to support expansion into the wider organisation

  • AutoCAD / Revit recognised training / qualifications
  • Knowledge acquired through formal training or experience to diploma level equivalent

  • Experience of healthcare in estates
