Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Research & Innovation Directorate team as a Data Management Assistant for University Hospitals Dorset Trust!

The Department is involved in the set-up, design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials and other clinical research studies, working in collaboration with patients, research teams, hospital departments, other NHS Trusts, commercial and academic partners. We have also played a pivotal role in the delivery of urgent public health research during the pandemic including the recruitment of participants into COVID vaccine trials via our dedicated Dorset Clinical Trials Unit.

You will be required to work across the research portfolio under the supervision of our clinical trials team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of clinical trials data management, playing a key role in the organisation, co-ordination and execution of all aspects of clinical research data management and administration, including maintaining site files and accurately entering data into case report forms and IT based systems. Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and organise workload are essential skills for this post.

There is the opportunity for progression to a Band 3 within this role upon completion of recommended competencies.
