Job summary
Applications are invited for a full-time (1.0 WTE) Interventional Radiology (IR) Consultant to strengthen an established team of 6 Interventional Radiologists. The successful candidate will have completed formal subspecialist training in Interventional Radiology and will have experience in Interventional Oncology, endovascular aortic, peripheral and embolization procedures. The candidate will require experience in Oncological Interventions including Ablation and TACE to support the current service demand at University Hospitals Dorset

Main duties of the job
The appointee is expected to participate in Vascular and general IR procedures and will have
clinic and MDT commitments as part of this role.
There is an expectation to support the diagnostic requirements of the department including
cross-sectional imaging and biopsy provision.
The post-holder will be required to join a 1:7 on-call rota covering the Dorset and Wiltshire network.
The post is based in Royal Bournemouth hospital but will involve pro-rata cross-site working at Salisbury District Hospital and/or Poole Hospital.

- Full GMC registration FRCR or equivalent Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT or CESR (CP) (proposed CCT/CESR (CP) date must be within 6 months of interview) 3 years equivalent IR specialty training with minimum 1-year additional training post CST (e.g. IR Fellowship abroad or specialist UK centre)
Desirable
