Job summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic consultant clinical neurophysiologist to join #TeamUHD. Our forward thinking and dynamic clinical neurophysiology department has a reputation for quality and responsiveness and you'll help contribute to the increasing need in the Dorset area.

You'll be innovative, highly knowledgeable with good experience of a wide range of clinical neurophysiology procedures. This is an exciting time to join us as the transformation plans for our hospitals are well underway. You'll have the unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the future clinical neurophysiology service at UHD.

This position is permanent with a proposed contract of ten programmed activities per week, although part time working can be accommodated for the right person. If successful, you'll be joining two consultants, Dr Jonathan Cole and Dr Anas Qureshi working with the wider multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC Registration with Specialist Registration
  • MRCP UK or equivalent
  • CCT in Clinical Neurophysiology or within 6 months of CCT

Experience

Essential

  • Good experience of a wide range of Clinical neurophysiology procedures including some experience with paediatric nerve conduction and EMG studies, single fibre EMG studies, ambulatory EEG and video telemetry studies, and neonatal neurophysiology studies
  • Involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Desirable

  • Sub-specialisation
  • Some experience of ERGs
