Job summary

Are you a registered or going to be registered in the next few months as an Occupational Therapist and interested in exploring a new clinical area or maybe looking for a more flexible working pattern? We are pleased to announce an exciting vacancy for a Band 5 OT to join our Community Interim Team who provide a 'Discharge to Assess' service to patients leaving our local hospitals.

We have a friendly and flexible team where we put patient care and care for our staff first. We have excellent opportunities for personal and professional development as part of a large University Hospital Foundation Trust. We also understand the importance of maintaining a work-life balance and would be willing to consider flexible working patterns that suit you.

This post is based with our Interim Care Team who have bases currently at the Christchurch Hospital and Bournemouth Hospital sites and provide community assessment and rehabilitation to patients recovering following hospital admission. There are opportunities for rotation or secondment into the acute hospital teams if you are looking to develop your frailty clinical knowledge and experience.

The role will involve community work and for this reason a car owner/ driver is essential.
