Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Robert White Radiotherapy Centre in Dorchester, the satellite radiotherapy unit of the Poole Radiotherapy Department.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, compassionate and technically skilled radiographer to support our satellite department to be a centre of excellence on the south coast.

At the Robert White Centre we have a True Beam Linac, with the VisionRT surface guided radiotherapy system, allowing us to give high quality radiotherapy to the local community which otherwise would have had to travel to the main site at Poole.

Although the post is based at the satellite centre, there will also be a rotation through the main department so the post holder can experience other specialist treatments.

Upon joining our team, the post holder will be supported with on-going professional and personal development and a comprehensive induction program.

Full time staff currently work their contracted hours over 4 days and are given a rolling day off each week with rotation. Applicants must be educated to DCR(T) / BSc Hons or equivalent and be registered with the Health Professions Council and have a minimum of 18 months post qualification experience.

About us

This is a really exciting time to join UHD! We are a three site acute trust with 'university hospital' status, due to our partnership with Bournemouth University, delivering highly regarded health services to the county of Dorset, and beyond. We employ some 10,000 staff, with an ambitious £250m estates programme on the way to delivering state-of-the-art facilities to meet the current and future healthcare needs of the populations we serve.

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with over seven miles of sandy beaches, you'll find inspirational opportunities to achieve your perfect work/life balance. Please note:

Staff recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all our Trust locations when service demands require it.

This advert may be closed early if sufficient applications are received.

COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and our patients from the virus when working in our healthcare settings. Whilst COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated.
