Are you a motivated and experienced clinician ready to step into a dynamic, leadership-focused environment? We have a unique opportunity for you to join a brand new CAMHS PICU High Intensity Environment 8-bed ward in Bournemouth, designed to deliver high-quality, intensive care for young people, aged 13-18, with complex mental health needs.
As part of a newly established service, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, clinical standards, and future direction of the unit from the ground up. As a Clinical Manager, you will have significant opportunities to influence service development, implement innovative care models, and contribute to building a safe and therapeutic recovery-oriented setting.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior staff while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centred care.
With structured development programmes, leadership training, and clear progression pathways, this role is tailored for clinicians who are ambitious, forward-thinking, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people in acute mental health crisis.
The Clinical Manager role is a part-time post of 30 hours per week for a 24-hour service.

You will have access to some of the leading research programmes in mental health and, whatever your role, there are opportunities to develop skills and clinical practice by being part of ground-breaking work.
You will work within the senior management team to ensure safe, effective care and treatment, and be supported in their development with learning opportunities. Day-to-day leadership of a clinical team and practitioners and other staff in the multi-disciplinary team.
The role will allow you to contribute to the planning and design of services in line with Trust, locality and government objectives to meet the needs of local people.
You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
