Job summary
Within the Intensive Psychological Therapies Service (IPTS) Team we are looking to recruit a Programme Co-Ordinator to facilitate the therapy treatment programme. We are looking for an organised, motivated, consistent and enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy are essential and there is a requirement to work with changing priorities
This is a training post with the opportunity to work towards a Band 5 over time dependent on training and performance. There will also be an opportunity to increase the hours worked. Initially this is a part-time position for 2 full days each week, working 9.00 to 17.00 on each day, based in Branksome Clinic.
The successful candidate will need to multi-task and work flexibly to help manage the team workload with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and relevant NHS systems eg. RiO. An interest in developing and maintaining data is essential.
An excellent telephone manner is essential as a point of contact for the team, dealing with clients, DHC staff and members of the public. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information is essential. Given the nature of this service, some clients may contact us in distress so we are looking for resilient applicants, with a compassionate work ethos who can thrive with the right level of support being offered by the Team.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be required to administrate the client treatment programme within the service ensuring the maximum available spaces are used and to monitor the referral progress to ensure these are processed in a timely manner liaising with IPTS staff, CMHT referrer and client to achieve this.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, sound administrative experience and a willingness to learn to be a part of a growing team as we move towards new ways of working.
