As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, you will participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Local Authority Children's Services, Early Years Providers, Schools and Education Establishments, voluntary and community sector agencies and other Health Care providers. You will be required to work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19, to provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and supporting children, young people and families.

We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated Public Health Staff Nurses 0 - 19 with the main focus on the 0-5 yrs caseload, to join our forward-thinking Poole East and Bournemouth North Teams. Poole East is a year-round post of 18.75 hours per week to be split over 3 days (to be discussed at interview) and Bournemouth North is a year round post of 22.50 hours per week for Bournemouth North Team. Poole East's main base is Parkstone Towers on Mansfield Road in Parkstone and B'mth Norths main base is Winton Health Centre on Alma Road.

- Poole East Team for 18.75 hours per week

- Bournemouth North Team for 22.50 hours per week

Main duties of the job

To work within the Children and Young Persons Public Health Service (CYPPHS) to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and targeted interventions to children 0 to 19 and their families, as delegated by and under the supervision of the SCPHN/TC/ 0-19 CYPPHS Locality Lead, whilst working closely with all members of the 0-19 PH team.

To promote the health and wellbeing of the 0 to 19 population and their families.

Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.

You would become part of the Poole East or Bournemouth North 0-19 Children and Young People's Public Health Service, working with a skilled and supportive team to deliver a comprehensive health offer to all families within the Poole East and Bournemouth North Localities. You will have access to all relevant training supported within the Trust and specific identified areas of training to support your development and learning within the team and the service as a whole
