Job summary
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Support Time Recovery Worker to work in Wimborne for the Community Mental Health Team for Older People and join our well established team.If you have a passion for working with people suffering severe mental illness we would love to hear from you.
The Service is a specialist team providing assessment, treatment and support for individuals suffering from organic and functional mental health illness. Experience of working with older adults with organic / functional mental illness in an inpatient or community setting would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working, with a positive approach to delivering high quality care to the older adult and be willing to work collaboratively with carers and other professionals. You will support the clinicians in the team to provide mental health interventions to a defined with the support of the team leader and the wider team.

Main duties of the job
We are a busy community mental health team serving the Wimborne and Purbeck population. We work with a number of other organisations and services to ensure the mental health needs of the older adult population are met
We're seeking individuals driven to make a tangible impact on the lives of those living with mental health challenges. Key qualities for this role include compassion, empathy, strong communication, and excellent teamwork. While prior experience is advantageous, it's not a prerequisite as comprehensive induction training will be provided, along with ongoing support from our experienced teams. You will need to have the ability to work alone but with access to support from other clinicians and the team manager.
You will contribute to effective multi-disciplinary working within the community mental health service and build up connections with community, primary, and other agencies within the locality to provide holistic care based on the individual's need.
The team office is in Wimborne and the post holder will travel from there to visit patients in the Wimborne and Purbeck locality. The post holder will need to have access to a car, with business insurance, as they will be required to visit patients in their own homes and within other community or inpatient settings.
