Job summary

Dorset HealthCare are looking for an adaptable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Community Clinic Support Administrator!

Do you have excellent IT skills, enjoy working in different locations across Bournemouth and Poole, and love a challenge? We are looking for an adaptable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Community Clinic Support Administrator on a permanent basis to provide day to day administration support for the services using our clinics.

The successful candidate will have advanced typing skills, exceptional attention to detail and can cope well under pressure in a busy clinic environment. You will also take an interest in Health and Safety matters and Fire regulations.

You will enjoy a varied role and will be covering six Community Clinics across Bournemouth and Poole in the absence of the regular Administrator.

Candidates invited to attend an interview will be required to complete a typing test.

This is a full-time permanent Community Clinic Support Administrator post of 37.5 hours per week (8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday), Band 3

We would consider a job share for the right candidates and hours will be discussed at interview.

Main duties of the job

To provide a friendly, safe and efficient administrative service to various services and teams within the Trust by supporting the delivery of excellent patient care. This will include maintaining the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) for Community Paediatrics. To ensure that patients and visitors within each service are dealt with in a friendly, empathetic and professional manner and patient information is treated with the highest level of confidentiality

The main responsibilities of the role will include providing administration support, audio typing of digital dictations, reception duties, telephone and face to face contact with members of the public, daily contact with clinicians and other professionals including our Estates Team, co-ordinating clinic sessions, room bookings, and use of EPR (Electronic Patient Record).

The successful candidate will be required to travel across Bournemouth and Poole therefore a car driver and a clean driving licence is essential for this post.

Essential

  • Accurate typing skills to RSA Level III typing / Word Processing or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of audio typing from digital dictation
  • NVQ Level 3/equivalent in Administration or Customer Service or equivalent experience
  • Educated to GCSE standard, to include English and Maths or equivalent
