Job summary

This role is based on St Brelades Ward at Alderney Hospital.

St Brelades is 17 bed ward for male patients with dementia and Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia.

You must pass the breakaway course and may encounter aggression from our patient group.

This role is not based within the facilities Housekeeping team and is a separate critical role within our ward team.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include, but not limited to:

Serving meals and snacks under the direction of the registered nurse

Laundry including ironing, putting clothes away, labelling clothes

Washing up

Keep the kitchen clean and tidy

Keeping bedrooms and ward areas tidy

Keeping bath rooms stocked

Ensuring stock rooms are tidy

Occasional cleaning
