Job summary
We are looking to recruit a highly organised individual who is proficient in a range of software programmes such as Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word. The successful candidate will have advanced typing skills, excellent attention to detail and can cope well under pressure. You must be confident on the phone to speak with a range of different health care professionals and be able to deal with difficult situations. In addition, you will present patient information at meetings held virtual.
The post will be based within the Poole Locality Hub at Alderney Hospital, Poole, working alongside a large team of healthcare professionals. If you are looking for a change, a challenge and working with a wide variety of professionals, this could be the role for you.
30 hours per week mainly Monday to Friday, but weekend working may be necessary at times. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
Employment in this post requires an Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Main duties of the job
Flexibility, responsiveness and IT/communications skills, and problem solving skills are required for this post and ideally experience of using SystemOne or any other health database. The successful applicant may be required to travel across the Locality therefore a car driver is essential for this post.
To provide administrative support within the East Dorset Hub. This will require working predominantly in the Hub, but may involve travelling to the other teams very occasionally.
To provide telephonist duties.
To provide clerical support to the Hub Team.
To become competent it multiple IT systems.
The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the Hub
