Job summary
Are you a qualified Audiologist looking to develop your career in a new diagnostic centre based in Weymouth? Dorset Audiology is going through a merger with two East and West Audiology services. We are now one integrated audiology service covering all of Dorset with the same vision to provide quality, local care to our community.
We provide complex services for adults with hearing loss, balance, tinnitus disorders. We have pathways for adults with learning difficulties and domiciliary patients, and we also have a full complement of paediatric audiology services. We are working towards IQIPS accreditation and are looking for staff to actively support us in this process.
As an Audiologist you will be well-motivated, clear communicator and provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for our adult patients. You will be experienced in managing more complex clinics, managing challenging cases and comfortable in supporting and developing more junior staff and/or students. You will have a BSc in Audiology or equivalent and clinical experience of working at an advanced level in adult audiology. You will support the Senior Management Team in service provision, quality assurance and improvement.
Opportunities for peer support, training and personal development given whilst working in a dynamic NHS team. This post is a full-time weekday post, we would flexible and welcome part time applicants (minimum of 22.5 hours) and how hours are met.
Main duties of the job
You will contribute by accepting responsibility for the advanced audiological care of adult patientshearing problems, participating in clinical supervision, supporting service improvement and maintaining their own professional development including knowledge and skills needed to accommodate changes in technology and clinical procedures. You will assist with specialist clinical tasks and consult with the Audiology Manager on changes to this Job Description.
