Job summary
The core purpose of this role is to provide a liaison, advice and support service for veterans accessing crisis and in-patient services; supporting the co-ordination of care of service users from admission to the service and through to discharge.
You will be home based using a mix of online platforms such as attend anywhere and face to face contacts as required. The team meet at regular intervals and full support to develop the role with colleagues will be provided.

OpCourage, The Veterans mental health Service is looking for an experienced senior mental health practitioner to join the team supporting veterans who require intensive interventions
This role requires:
- Highly skilled and competent in conducting clinical holistic and risk assessments (in accordance with the identified care pathway).
- Able to undertake highly skilled interventions (including group work) as determined by the community mental health pathway (appropriate to professional expertise) and share those skills with other team members.
- Access to good quality clinical supervision
- High level of professional and clinical autonomy.
- Supervision, education and skills sharing to other team members
- Car owner essential and ability to travel across the geographical area as directed.
- Ideally having served in the Armed Forces or is a family member, or had experience with this client group
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
