Providing leadership and strategic direction to drive a collaborative approach across the Trust for workforce transformation and development of fit for purpose and effective frameworks, underpinned by accurate data analysis and projections.

Working alongside internal and external stakeholders in the development and implementation of workforce planning frameworks and resources that support the development of competence in workforce planning for our managers. In addition, your commitment to an evidence based approach will inform strategic and operational workforce supply programmes, such as talent management and succession planning, apprenticeship development, new roles, re-design and organisational learning needs analysis.

This is a varied role, your background could be in HR,learning and development, workforce data, workforce planning ortransformation; whatever it is, we're looking for someone who has a collaborative and innovative approach with the ability and determination to think strategically to ensure successin leading these essential workstreams bringing your ideas and experience to this new role making a real difference to our workforce and patients.

Main duties of the job

Be the Trust's subject matter expert and strategic lead designing, developing implementing, and evaluating workforce planning frameworks and processes across the trust to ensure a structured approach is taken that supports, short, medium and long term planning and that is in line with the local and national policies, priorities, tools approaches and interventions.

Be responsible for ensuring the Trust has an effective workforce planning framework that provides accurate data, projections and analysis to inform strategic and operational workforce supply programmes and initiatives across the Trust. This will involve identifying and engaging with key stakeholders and developing/supporting working groups to help inform, shape and own the plans.

Be responsible for the provision of expert advice relating to workforce transformation and the development of associated plans in line with the Trust's overall Corporate Plan and transformation programme with project deliverables, review and realignment of priorities as needed, working closely with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.

Lead the workforce information team and ensure the Trust has ready access to accurate data, projections and analysis to inform strategic and operational workforce transformation and supply programmes and initiatives across the Trust. This will involve identifying and engaging with key stakeholders and developing/supporting working groups to help inform, shape and own the plans.

  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare environment and workforce challenges.

Desirable

  • Experience/ awareness of workforce supply routes in the NHS -apprenticeships, work experience etc.
