Job summary

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic , professional individuals to come and work with our amazing District Nursing Teams with Parkstone, Lilliput area of Poole .

This post is cover our evening shift from 16:30- 20:00. These hours can be negotiable to cover a twilight shift working with the Night Service. Shore District Nursing Teams work very closely with our Primary Care colleagues.To provide a high quality person centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.

The applicant will undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.

To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care. To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.

To provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.

Main duties of the job

As a community staff nurse you will be providing nursing care to patient in their own home. We provide a wide and varied level of care to patient in their home. This means we have highly skilled workforce, successful candidates will be supported with upskilling and training.

There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata. Our late shift covers until 8pm.

With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills. Newly qualified staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a specific clinical upskilling program to support their transition from student to RGN.
