We are looking to recruit a full time Band 6 Physiotherapist. We are able to offer flexible options including compressed working days within our 8am-8pm service over 7 days per week.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a generic capacity completing core assessments but whom can also provide specialist therapy treatments. The team is responsible for providing admission avoidance assessment and treatment to acutely unwell and evidence based rehabilitation for patients in our local community.

Main duties of the job

To provide leadership and work within the Bournemouth and Christchurch locality, through provision of a high standard Physiotherapist assessments, and core assessment details of other multidisciplinary skills.

Develop specialist care and/or rehabilitation programme, to promote and sustain independence/well-being for the individual or carer in the relevant setting, which may be a community, residential or health care environment.

To undertake assessment and development of Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation/care programmes for adults, many of whom have complex medical and social needs with the aim of improving independence, function and quality of life.

To contribute towards the development of individual teams and Physiotherapy within Intermediate Care, through devising and implementing service change and to audit and evaluate both Physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary practice. Monitor standards of practice.

Support, the role of the Team Leader, deputising in his/her absence.

To promote admission avoidance of through close agency working

You will be required to work regular weekends on a rotational basis.
