Job summary
The role will broadly address four strategic priorities:
To support Trust culture around the delivery of psychological therapies within the context of the broad spectrum of services offered.
The consolidation and development of robust supervision structures and CPD programmes in line with EMDR UK criteria.
The ongoing training of new EMDR therapists to address attrition and increased provision where indicated.
The introduction of novel evidenced based EMDR therapies as they emerge from the literature and evidence.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking to recruit an EMDR Lead for the Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for:
Providing clinical leadership, supervision, consultation and advice on EMDR therapy and psychological elements of care.
Supervising and supporting clinical members of teams who provide EMDR therapy, and providing consultation to colleagues as appropriate.
Supporting the development of EMDR therapists who wish to work towards EMDR accreditation.
Supporting Clinical/Service Leads both clinically and in implementing and evaluating service development initiatives re EMDR.
Fostering excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to spread the understanding and practice of EMDR
Previous experience of working in an NHS mental health setting, Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service or similar organisation would be highly desirable.
Part-time, full-time and flexible working hours are available.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

- A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology Or A recorded/registered qualification in one of- nursing, social work, occupational therapy or a psychological therapy plus further post graduate qualification training in EMDR, CAT or CBT
