Job summary

As an outstanding rated NHS Trust, we are on a mission to overhaul our recruitment function and people practices to accelerate our vision of becoming Better Every Day with compassion and diversity and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.

The HR Services Team provides a comprehensive range of transactional recruitment and employment services from the Trust Headquarters at Sentinel House, Nuffield Industrial Estate, Poole.

The Human Resources Administrator role is the first point of contact for recruiting managers within the Trust, applicants, interviewees and existing staff. This role is a key element of the recruitment process from placing and closing advertisements, sending out interview invitations to initiating pre-employment checks.

The role has been designed to allow the opportunity to experience a broad range of activities within the team and is ideal for someone looking to develop their recruitment and HR related experience.

There are two full-time posts available (one permanent and one offered on a fixed-term/secondment basis for 12 months). The successful applicants will spend the majority of their time in the office, with some opportunities to work from home.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone to join our supportive team who has effective time management and prioritisation skills, together with experience of working to deadlines within a busy high-volume environment.

As a Human Resources Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high quality service to all Recruiting Managers, Trust employees, potential employees and applicants.
  • Ensuring the HR administration process is managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for Recruiting Managers, applicants and interviewees. Take ownership of the process through placing adverts, closing adverts, shortlisting and recruitment checks.

A good working knowledge of Trac (recruitment system), NHS Jobs, ESR (Electronic Staff Record) and Microsoft Office software packages is desirable. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as you will liaise with applicants and managers of all levels across the Trust relating to their recruitment activity.

Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
