Due to an increase in work within our Occupational Health service we are currently looking to increase our workforce with an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our Team.

The successful candidate will have significant opportunities for further training and development to enable them to develop a career in Occupational Health. Working closely with members of the nursing team who will support your induction and further training. You will have the opportunity to work both in-house and across a range of different work environments.

This role can be offered on a part or full-time basis and will support the clinical staff in the delivery of a comprehensive occupational health service. The post is based in Boscombe, Bournemouth but you may be required occasionally to travel throughout the Dorset area, providing services in both NHS and commercial settings therefore car driver is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic motivated, flexible individual who is interested in helping to improve the health and wellbeing of the working age population in Dorset and developing a career in Occupational Health. Training will be provided.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Main duties of the job

Participate in an efficient, effective, comprehensive, high quality Occupational Health service to Dorset Healthcare, General Practices, and Dental practices and to a variety of customers throughout Dorset, using evidence based Occupational Health.

To provide a service that is user focused, reflecting NHS and DH guidelines and HSE legislation

Provide Occupational Health nursing services to the Trust and for companies within a caseload designated by the Occupational Health Manager and in line with professional practice requirements.

Ensuring service delivery is in line with contract and departmental requirements.

Adhere to trust policies and protocols in the delivery of services to customers.
