Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to recruit a part time CAMHS specialist doctor to provide medical leadership to a well-established all age community eating disorder service offering services to residents of Dorset.

The vision going forward is to introduce specialist CAMHS expertise to enhance the assessment and treatment we provide, to young people presenting with complex psychiatric comorbidity.

Main duties of the job

The post is based at St Ann's Hospital, with the possibility of moving to Kings Park or Trinity Court, Dorchester in the next few months.

The postholder will work within the Dorset Healthcare All-Age Community Eating Disorders Service which provides comprehensive community-based services to patients registered with general practitioners within Dorset.

We offer Family Based Treatment, Family Therapy, Multi-Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Occupational therapy, and Physical Health Monitoring. We can also refer to the Closer2Home Team that provide intensive support to young people and their families in their homes when appropriate. We have helped many young people and their Families over the past 13 years and our service is highly regarded.

The post-holder will be expected to maintain Section 12 (2) and be an Approved Clinician.
