Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Porter to provide a high standard of portering services to all wards and departments within the hospital environment!

You will be required to drive as part of this role and the applicant will need to hold a full valid driving licence.

This a full time position working 37.5 hours per week

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check

Main duties of the job

The main duties include, waste collection, the collection of soiled linen. assist with loading and unloading of laundry.

Collection and delivery of patient prescription/samples from as required. Other duties include loading and unloading of stores to all departments.

Arranging tables for meetings, and delivery of mail and the transportation of medical gases.

Daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle is roadworthy.

Undertake washing and cleaning of hospital vehicle on a weekly basis, assist with deep cleans on wards, washing up after each meal time.
