Are you a strong leader with a focus on performance improvement? Our Estates and Facilities are looking for a Senior Estates Manager to join our outstanding rated Trust.
This senior management role is critical to the on-going development of the Estates function across the Trust. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities, you will be responsible for all aspects of Estates including, Building and Engineering services, all Estates maintenance, Statutory and mandatory compliance, Engineering development, CAFM/Stores and Estates led projects.
You will lead the day-to-day operations of Trust Estates and develop these services in accordance with corporate policies and strategies, emphasising the cultural changes and innovations essential to modernising health care. A key focus will be on performance improvement, achieved through effective management of resources, implementation of comprehensive systems, governance procedures, sound financial management with an engaged, and supported workforce.
This is a full-time post; we can be flexible with hours across the working week. Your work base is at our Estate and Facilities hub based in Wareham. Travel is required to cover all Dorset trust sites and we support hybrid with the opportunity to remote work. This role is visible and mobile where you could be required to site support, therefore living in Dorset or near the border is recommended.

Main duties of the job
They will also be responsible for the overall leadership of the Estates department, maintaining and further developing a culture that engages and involves staff in decisions on how services are delivered, and the provision and promotion of patient-centred, excellent customer services in a professional and caring manner at all times.
The postholder will lead on key strategic and operational matters; change management programmes and key projects for the Trust, ensuring that the Division achieves its objectives and will be actively involved in developing all aspects of the Facilities & Estates elements of the NHS Plan including national requirements, i.e. statutory regulations, PLACE, decontamination; and be instrumental in developing on overall Trust-wide approach.The Estates Department is a patient, visitor and staff driven department focused in delivering a range of services in a professional, effective, consistent and friendly manner.
Our key objectives are to provide staff, patients and visitors with safe, attractive, and fully operational environments whilst ensuring the Trust has the estates support services required, at all times, to sustain normal, healthcare operations and business continuity
