Part-time Band 6 Community Learning Disabilities Nurse - up to 30 hrs a week

Are you an enthusiastic, forward thinking learning disabilities nurse who can adapt to changing priorities and deliver high quality nursing care? The Learning Disability Service in North Dorset is staffed by a passionate and dedicated multi-disciplinary team and we are looking for a like-minded nurse to join us. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within the challenging yet rewarding field of learning disability nursing.

Main duties of the job

Working part time the successful candidate will be experienced in working in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and supporting them to live successfully in the community. You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We are looking for a Band 5 or 6 Community Nurse to join the North Dorset team for People with Learning Disabilities based in Sturminster Newton.

You will need to be committed to working in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers, to support them to lead successful lives in the community and provide effective nursing input and health facilitation.

It is vital that you support mainstream services to ensure the delivery of good quality general health care and work in partnership with Dorset Council.
