An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join the Adult Community Health Team in Wimborne. The post offers a unique opportunity for aspiring and developing Band 6 staff or Band 7 Leaders looking for a new challenge. It also offers the opportunity to play a significant role in the evolution of Mental Health Services with the current MHICC work being undertaken.
The post holder will benefit from high levels of support from their Integrated Service Manager, as well as support from an effective and experienced peer network, at both a local and county wide level. You will also work closely to lead the team alongside a highly experienced and supportive Consultant Psychiatrist.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an exceptional person to take on this role and enable the team to develop their skills, systems and the care they offer to the people and carers who the service support.
You will need to demonstrate your commitment to providing a visible, consistent, supportive management approach, acting as an enthusiastic, motivated, and positive role model, working with an experienced and established multi-disciplinary team.
You will need to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of agencies, such as the Local Authority, Primary Care colleagues and third sector (VCSE) providers to provide a seamless service to the people and carers throughout their period of care.
As the role is both clinical and managerial you must be able to make sound clinical judgements whilst working under pressure and have the ability to manage change, demonstrating effective time management skills, as you will also have responsibility for a caseload.
You must also have a passion and experience of working with adults experiencing serious mental health issues.
