The Learning Disability Service in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is staffed by a passionate and dedicated integrated team and is looking for a like-minded nurse to join us. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within the challenging yet rewarding field of community learning disability nursing.
The band 6 role advertised will be mainly based in Christchurch a very pretty location in Dorset.
Although advertised at band 6 we would also accept applications from band 5 nurses and we offer a developmental programme to band 6.
Main duties of the job
Working part time (30hrs per week) the successful candidate will be experienced in working in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and supporting them to live successfully in the community. You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
