The Cardiology Investigations Unit (CIU) at Frimley Park Hospital provides a comprehensive range of both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic cardiology services for inpatients and outpatients. Our services include a 7-day non-invasive testing schedule and a 24/7 Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PPCI) service.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated cardiac physiologist to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a competent and independent practitioner in echocardiography, including experience with stress echocardiography and contrast-enhanced imaging.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing and reporting echocardiography procedures independentlySupporting advanced imaging techniques such as stress and contrast echo- Contributing to the training, supervision, and development of junior staff- Acting as a specialist technical resource within the team- Demonstrating flexibility in response to service demands and departmental changes

Main duties of the job
o Expert with a high level of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through formal training / experience in echocardiography.o Registered physiologist either with the council for Clinical Physiologists and British Society of Echocardiography accreditation.o The post holder will have substantial experience in cardiology, significant experience at a senior level with highly developed specialist knowledge in echocardiography.o The post holder will carry out highly specialist echocardiography procedures including stress echo and physiologist led valve clinics. They should hold specialised clinical reporting skills and knowledge.o Personal management, including time management and the ability to prioritise.
