Job summary

Are you an experienced pelvic health physiotherapist ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to lead our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team at Frimley Park Hospital.

As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing advanced assessment and treatment for patients with obstetric, urogynaecology, urology, and colorectal conditions, working with female, male, and paediatric patients. You will also contribute to the strategic and operational development of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • Clinical Expertise: Conduct expert musculoskeletal and pelvic floor assessments, providing accurate diagnoses and appropriate management plans for patients with chronic and acute conditions.

  • Service Leadership & Development: Lead and develop the pelvic health physiotherapy outpatient and inpatient service at Frimley Park Hospital, ensuring high standards of care and service efficiency.

  • Patient & Professional Support: Offer expert advice, education, and guidance to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals across the Frimley Integrated Care System. Foster collaboration between departments to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Provide specialised pelvic health physiotherapy services, both within the acute trust and other external organisations.
  • Act as a leader in pelvic health awareness, addressing local service needs and promoting best practices.
  • Assess and manage complex clinical risks, including identifying serious bladder conditions such as cancer and coordinating urgent care.

Education & Supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and assess qualified physiotherapists, assistants, and students on clinical placement.
  • Contribute to training programs for staff and external healthcare professionals.

Patient Care & Multidisciplinary Collaboration

  • Provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal and pelvic health conditions.
  • Work closely with urology teams to support patients in a clinic setting, ensuring early identification of critical conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care pathways and promote holistic rehabilitation.
