Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a real passion for Early Years education and for developing young minds.
You must hold a level 3 Ofqual approved UK based qualification and have demonstrable experience of working with children under the age of 5 to be considered for this role.
We are based at Woodlands Day Nursery based at Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, Surrey and our Nursery provides highest quality care and education to children age between 3 months and 5 years.

Main duties of the job
Role Responsibilities:
- Using knowledge and understanding of child development theories, progressive learning and best working practices, contribute to and deliver individualised care and learning to children under five years within statutory and guiding principles described in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2024.
- To be responsible for key children's observations, planning, assessments, to create children's learning journey.
- To be responsible for producing formative and summative assessments of key children's progress.
- Promote an ethos within the setting that values and celebrates diversity that enables all children and adults to make a positive contribution to nursery life.
- Contribute to practices including the key person system, that support partnership working between parents, practitioners and others in order to lay a secure foundation for children's future learning and development.
- Liaise with Lead Practitioner and Inclusion Co-ordinator when early signs of individual needs that could lead to later difficulties have been identified.
- To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
- Contribute to practices supporting individual children and families transitions into the nursery between rooms and to school or other setting.
